根据Neil Simon荣获普利策奖的戏剧改编之作。译名有误解向，其实与天才不沾边，只是透过儿童的眼睛来诉说一个不平凡家庭里严母对子女生活方式的影响而已，与以往编剧的作品相比，多了几分悲情，少了几分碎嘴。
