抽丝剥茧，一环扣一环。正儿八经的悬疑和推理。每个人个性都很鲜明。前面也看过几季，并没觉得这部戏有多好看，但本季真的觉得很不错。

老太太愈來愈人性了，這季最末的案件是與她家人有關的陳年舊案。又，就這部比摩斯探長前傳還高的收視來看（見維基），除了主演的觀眾緣之外，超級複雜的案件線索似乎是吸引觀眾看下去的方式（毆）。

第四集很棒。薇拉难得陷入公义与私情的挣扎，注意一向坦荡的她与Kenny秘密对话时显出的笨拙。已经开始有意刻画薇拉的老态了。
