拉里·柯恩很喜欢拿社会安保系统做文章，《鬼面公仆》里有滥杀无辜的地狱警察，到了这部《白车惊魂》救护车也干起了杀人越货的勾当。并且剧情非常脱线和离奇，不按正常套路结尾。主角寻找了大半部电影的真爱，结果人家有男朋友；神经质的黑人警探好像是破案关键，结果半路就被杀害不说临死还在嚼口香糖；精神病院遇到的老头胡言乱语却在关键时刻救了主角一命；夜晚神出鬼没的老式救护车却被堂而皇之的放在夜总会中；许多细节安排荒...
